Story
The club’s history begins in Hackensack New Jersey in 1899 and it eventually moved in 1929 to Oradell where it has remained for the past 90+ years.
The club was founded by 12 Hackensack professional and businesspeople with the main organizers Edward Foster and Dr RS. Hallett

The HGC Dress Code is an integral part of the Club’s commitment to traditional values. As such, it is important that all Members and their guests adhere to the stipulations of the Dress Code in every area of the Club. While specific allowances are made for Members and guests utilizing the pool and racquet facilities, when entering any other area of the Club, compliance with the appropriate Dress Code is required.

The Hackensack Golf Club offers many special event opportunities. Through the years The Club has orchestrated a countless array of events including weddings, baby showers, anniversaries, and birthdays. Members may sponsor a function for their friends, family, and colleagues.
